ALL Physicians must wear official CHA Name-Tags at all times.
Care for patients in the same manner you would under normal circumstances.
Complete charts and either discharge existing patients as soon as possible, or transfer triage level 3's – 4/s to C or E pod. Be prepared to transfer care of existing patients to other Doctors, if incoming casualties arrive quickly.
Order minimally required lab tests and x-rays, to facilitate effective throughput of each casualty.
ALL patients will have Disaster (alias) charts. Disaster charts stay with patients at all times. Chart as you examine.
Upon discharge of patients, ensure that patients proceed to the designated admitting/administration area to have admitting information completed before leaving the hospital.
Meet with Area Leader Emergency Physician and Area Leader RN re: disposition of patients.
Discuss any problems regarding equipment, staffing, or patient flow with Area Leader Emergency Physician.
Refer any incoming calls regarding staffing to 407-3723.
Refer all media calls to communications at 407-6191.
